Housing & Local Wins
Fortlawn Housing Proposal: We rallied with residents when Fingal County Council proposed demolishing four homes for a new development. Through strong local engagement, community meetings, and ongoing advocacy, the plan was withdrawn. This demonstrates the power of organised communities and the importance of holding authorities accountable.
Old Clonsilla School: I wrote to the Chief Executive to explore converting the site into affordable and social housing while retaining the old schoolhouse as a community, cultural, and tourism hub. This could be a transformative project for Clonsilla and Dublin 15.
Short-Term Lets: Dublin is facing a housing crisis, worsened by 22,000 homes currently used as short-term lets. These units outnumber long-term rentals 12 to 1, driving up rents and reducing availability for families and individuals.
Policy Critique: I highlighted how four-person mortgages and developer-focused policies are creating a housing market disaster. Housing justice and sustainable planning remain top priorities for our community. |
✊ Workers, Education & Cost of Living
School Staff Strikes: I stood with striking caretakers and secretaries in Hansfield and other schools for pension parity and fair treatment. These essential workers are vital to our schools’ operation and deserve equality with other staff.
Additional Needs Education: The lack of school places for children with additional needs continues to fail families. I’ve raised these concerns in the Dáil and will continue pushing for proper planning, funding, and resources.
- Cost of Living: The government’s plans to withdraw energy credits in the upcoming Budget threaten families already struggling with rising electricity bills. I will continue to advocate for practical support for households and working families.

💚 Health, Recovery & Wellbeing
Mental Health Funding: I called for €200k investment in Genesis Psychotherapy to double counselling hours and clear waiting lists. Timely support can be life-saving, especially for young people at risk of suicide.
Recovery Month Initiatives: I participated in multiple events celebrating recovery and mental health resilience:
Recovery Run: A 21 km run connecting addiction support projects across Dublin.
Dáil Recovery Meeting & Walk: Supporting those in recovery while raising awareness nationally.
Portmarnock Recovery Swim: Highlighting community solidarity and wellbeing.
These initiatives demonstrate the importance of community-led mental health and recovery supports.

🚓 Safety, Policing & Community Protection
Anti-Social Behaviour: I raised ongoing concerns about dangerous scrambler bikes, anti-social activity, and drug dealing, particularly in Tyrrelstown and Blanchardstown. Residents deserve safe streets.
Garda Resources: I pushed for a dedicated Garda anti-scrambler unit, better deployment of drones, and expansion of Garda training. Currently, Garda resources are insufficient to tackle modern challenges. Racism & Violence: I condemned violent racist attacks, including one in Tallaght, linking such incidents to political scapegoating and emphasising the need for community solidarity.
🌍 International Issues & Solidarity
Palestine & Gaza: I spoke out strongly against atrocities in Gaza, labelling them genocide and apartheid, and supporting marches, fundraisers, and parliamentary advocacy.
Irish Neutrality: I opposed government moves to abolish the Triple Lock, protecting Ireland’s neutrality in global affairs. Republican History: We honoured the 1981 hunger strikers and continued to campaign to protect the historic GPO quarter. These actions remind us of our commitment to justice and equality at home and abroad.

🏃 Community Highlights & Personal Engagement |
Community Events: I attended Fortlawn Flower Power, Clonsilla Heritage Weekend, Draíocht performances, and Phoenix FM’s 25th anniversary. Local engagement ensures your concerns are heard directly.
Personal Fitness & Visibility: I continued marathon training, long runs, paddle boarding, and even hurling matches, keeping active while connecting with residents. Supporting Grassroots Initiatives: Every meeting, visit, or event is an opportunity to listen, advocate, and push for resources and change where it matters most.

🗳️ Presidential Elections & Irish Unity
This autumn, we look ahead to a pivotal presidential election. I’m proud to be campaigning for Catherine Connolly. In my six years in the Dáil, I have seen Catherine serve as a fair and transparent Leas-Cheann Comhairle and a passionate advocate for social justice.
If elected, Catherine will: Be a United Irelander, committed to national unity. Represent the Irish language with pride as a fluent speaker. Uphold international justice, continuing the example set by President Michael D. Higgins by speaking out for the dispossessed, including the Palestinian people.
This campaign is about more than a candidate — it’s about shaping the Ireland we want: fair, equal, and inclusive. I encourage everyone to get active, get involved, and help bring Catherine into the Áras.
Beyond the election, we are also building momentum towards Irish unity. In September, hundreds of activists from across all 32 counties came together in the Helix to organise and prepare for a new, united Ireland. This is a growing, unstoppable movement for change. |
